About

I tricked myself into fitness in college by doing the common dude-thing of working out with my friends. When I figured out that it improved almost every aspect of my life, I got hooked.

Moving to Austin sealed the deal. Now, I coach strength and cycling classes for Pure Austin and endurance classes for CrossFit Central. I CrossFit 3-on, 1-off, following both CrossFit Central’s programming and CrossFit Endurance programming. I’ve run a bunch of half marathons, duathlons, some triathlons, and some fun races and long rides. At this point, you can only say I’m a fitness junkie, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Outside of the fitness realm, I’m into technology (I’m a Software Architect in my “real” job), and very interested in how fitness and technology intersect.  I’m an avid snowboarder as well, traveling all over to get some fresh snow when I can.

Class times

I teach spin, track, and athletic strength and conditioning classes at a couple gyms in town… here’s that schedule:

  • Pure Cycle: Tuesdays, 6:15pm, Pure Austin Quarry Lake.
  • Pure Intense Training (PIT): Wednesdays, 6:15am, Pure Austin Town Lake.
  • Core Cycle: Thursdays, 6:00am, Pure Austin Quarry Lake.
  • CrossFit Endurance Track: Thursdays, 6:00pm, O’Henry Middle School track.
  • Core Cycle: Sundays, 11:00am, Pure Austin Town Lake.
  • Pure Intense Training (PIT): Sundays, 12:30pm, Pure Austin Town Lake.
